Spring Break - Day 9 - Holly summarizes the movie "Hop"

We went to see the movie Hop today and here is Holly to summarize it for you.

Spring Break - Day 8 - Easter Egg Hunt and Dinner with the Yunek Family

On Saturday, Holly participated in an Easter Egg hunt. Before the hunt, Holly made some bubbles at the bubble station.

Later, we went to the Yuneks' house and had a cookout and watched the movie Enchanted and played Disney's Sing It on the Wii. We had a great time.

Spring Break - Day 7 - Lunch with the Hazelwood family

Today we went to lunch with the Hazelwood family. We had fun chatting and enjoying sushi at the Kaminari restaurant.


In the evening, we went on a walk around the LSU campus and Holly climbed to the top of one of the Indian Mounds.

Spring Break - Day 6 - Back to fencing

I went back to the Baton Rouge Fencing Club on Thursday. I was less worn out this time than the last time - I just need to keep it up! I also got a Baton Rouge Fencing Club patch today to put on my lamé.

Spring Break - Day 5 - Beach

Today we went to the beach in Waveland, Mississippi. We had a picnic lunch, built sand castles, played with rubber ducks and a soccer ball, and Holly played Frisbee with a friendly dog. The dog broke the Frisbee with his teeth, so Holly let him keep it.

Spring Break - Day 4 - Dinner with the Hou family

Today we had dinner with the Hou family at Cici's Pizza. We had fun catching up and Holly had a good time playing with the girls.

Spring Break - Day 3 - Fencing

Holly and I did some chores and then played outside today. We took a picture of the Tiger Band Hall. It is not finished yet, but they have done a lot more work on it since the last photo of it that I posted.

In the evening, I went to the Baton Rouge Fencing Club meeting. This is the first time I have fenced in nearly 6 years, so my legs are very sore! Parts of it came right back to me, but I definitely need to get in better shape to get back to where I was.

Spring Break - Day 2 - New Orleans

Today, we went to New Orleans with our friends, the Hudlows. On the way, we sighted the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile. While in New Orleans, we visited the French Quarter and had beignets at Cafe du Monde and visited the Cathedral of St. Louis and Bourbon Street. Later, we had po'boys at Parkway Bakery. We had lots of fun!

Spring Break - Day 1 - Tee Ball

Spring break is finally here! It seem so late to have spring break, but since they also have a Mardi Gras break here, spring break comes a little bit later than it does back home.

We are going to try to do something noteworthy each day and blog about it. On day 1 (Saturday), Holly played her first tee ball game of the season. The kids are still learning the rules of the game (of course), but Holly had a really great time.

Stick Horse Rodeo

Today, Holly participated in a stick horse rodeo. She won 5th place in the pole race. She had a great time.
