Louisiana Renaissance Festival

We just recently visited the Louisiana Renaissance Festival.  We saw a magician, an acrobat, Robin Hood, a jester, a baby dragon, and I bought an ocarina that I'm now learning how to play.

Louisiana Sinfonietta

Today there was a concert of the Louisiana Sinfonietta at LSU.  It was conducted by my composition instructor Dinos Constantinides.

Minneapolis

I just visited Minneapolis for a Society for Music Theory conference.  I got to do some very quick sight-seeing while I was there.  I saw the Mall of America, the Basilica of St. Mary, and a statue of Mary Tyler Moore (where she throws her hat in the opening sequence).

Audobon Aquarium of the Americas

A few weeks ago, we visited the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans.  We also had lunch at the Acme Oyster House.

Patrick is here! He is a content little baby and loves to sleep. Holly is very excited to be a big sister!

Covington, LA

I recently went to visit a friend of mine in Covington, LA. It has a really cool downtown area. We also visited the Abita Brewery there and we had lunch at Louie and the Redhead Lady, which is a restaurant that was once featured on the Food Network.

Disc Golf

I went disc golfing for the first time today. It was pretty fun. I'm now the proud owner of two golf discs.
