City Park Lake

Last weekend we rented a paddle boat at City Park Lake.  It was a lot of fun!

 

 

New Orleans Zoo

A couple weekends ago, we went to the New Orleans Zoo with our friends Adam and Aleisa and their new baby Jack.

While my friend Dusty was visiting, we went to see Arsenal Park near the capitol in Baton Rouge.

Insectarium

Yesterday we visited the Insectarium in New Orleans.  I'm not a big fan of bugs but it was pretty interesting.

We had lunch at Deanie's Seafood.

On the Riverwalk we saw a Holocaust Memorial.

Magnolia Mound Plantation

 

Today we went to the Magnolia Mound Plantation for Holly's school Christmas program.  There were lots of interesting activities there such as wool thread spinning, marshmallow roasting, wood working, and eating sugar cane.
